Nigerians say they've heard enough of Evans the kidnapper; Now Asking for The President

Reacting  about another post about Evans the kidnapper yesterday - how he was lured into police trap by his most beloved girlfriend and how he used to buy sex enhancement drugs  from a pharmacist- some Nigerians have lashed out  against  the police and media for over-publicising of the Evans saga. Those who reacted on a popular Facebook group to the news said the nation had more pressing needs like knowing the whereabouts  of  the  ailing  president Buhari and capturing the politicians who are looting the nation dry. They also called for more actions in handling the Arewa youths among other things.

Who is the Presidency? Ruben Abati gives anwsers in this interesting write up.

When last week, President Muhammadu Buhari decided to suspend the Secretary to the Government of the Federation, Babachir Lawal, and the Director General of the Nigeria Intelligence Agency, Ambassador Ayo Oke in order to allow unfettered investigations of both public officers, the most striking immediate reaction was the SGF asking: who is the Presidency?
State House correspondents had accosted the then SGF as he left a meeting with the Vice President. It is standard practice at the State House for correspondents to lay ambush.

Is Big Brother Naija Raising Africa's Stupid Index? Written by @Philasuquotes @bbnaija

My Thoughts on Big Brother Naija?
I have heard and seen so many arguments about this reality TV show called Big Brother Naija. On one side, many condemn it with varying reasons while on the other, some say there is nothing wrong with it and even go on to call those who condemn it ‘hypocrites’. Thus, I will lend my thoughts to it.
America’s STUPID INDEX is known to have risen quite disturbingly with the influx of reality TV shows back in the early 2000s.

To salvage this, American content creators and government met and decided to use the media to educate Americans and make them become smarter and thus reduce the stupid index.
The outcome of this is the making of science fiction TV series and inclusion of intelligent conversations in popular TV shows and movies. In no time, these made America’s growing generation become smarter than the previous and yes, we have seen them leading in many tech related sectors.

Photos of Owerri - Port Harcourt road this rainy season

A traveler who plied the road last weekend posted on Facebook. This is the part of the road in Imo State territory, the part of the Owerri-PH road in Rivers state territory is in very good condition and the opposite of this. It is a federal government road.
Some people have the  opinion that the previous Federal government leaderships neglected the Imo State portion of the road because governor Rochas Okorocha is a member of the All Progressives Alliance while. Some others are of the opinion that the Imo State government should fix the road and then seek refund from the Federal government, this as they say is what the Rivers state government did.
See more pictures below. You can drop your opinions too in the comment box.

Work resumes on Chukwuma Nwoha road after letter to the Governor by

I'm very happy to write that construction works have resumed on the Chukwuma Nwoha road that I wrote about about a week ago (CLICK HERE TOREAD THE PETITION). The Chukwuma Nwoha road dualization project was kicked off by Governor Rochas Okorocha in 2014 and was pursued speedily but just before the 2015 elections, the work which was already about 60% completed was suddenly abandoned and the machines and labourers left. There was no drainage system put in place. The rains set in and this caused deep gully erosion by the sides of the road (Bishop's court, Okwuratta and Aladinma axis).
This has made the roads leading into the mostly students-resided to become unmotorable. The erosion totally cut off the students area from the main road because of the deep and wide erosion.
I took detailed photos and assessment of the situation and posted about it. I also approached the deputy Governor (Prince Eze Madumere) as well as campaigned on the social media for the attention of the state government. They may have been others who also pushed for this anyway. I am happy to announce that construction of waterway (drainage) have commenced on the Chukwuma Nwoha road. As at yesterday, 16th June, 2015, work was on on the road even add the rain fell. See pictures below. If you have a pressing issue and you want to get the government to intervene, send the information in form of a letter to

DEAR GOVERNOR ROCHAS OKOROCHA, Gullies in the Chukwuma-Nwoha/Aladinma road

Dear Governor Owelle Anayo Rochas Okorocha,
This is to bring to your attention the dangerous gully erosion happening on the Chukwuma-Nwoha/Aladinma/Bishop's court main road.
Once again congratulations for your victory in the 2015 governorship election. Imo people believe they gave the right man the mandate because you gave us a glimpse of what good governance can be for the ordinary man on the street. I am not the type that dwell much on long and complicated sentences that run around a simple meaning. Thus, let me go straight to the point.
Between October and November, 2014, we woke up to another giant stride of yours. Heavy machinery and vehicles were stationed at the Chukwuma Nwoha road in Owerri North LGA,Imo state. The road stretches from Egbu (bus station) down to Okigwe road (Amawire area) and is a very important road because it serves as a link road that decongests the Okigwe road. It is also very important because some firms and many schools are located in the area, one of which is Imo state University. Many student of Imo State University who live in Aladinma, Bishop's court and Okwu-Uratta also use the road on daily basis.
Thus, when the dualization project began on the road, it was a welcome development. The spate at which the work progressed for about 2 months was very commendable. Bulldozers, tippers, graders were not missing, engineers and labourers worked even till late hours.

Prophecies that came to pass about 2015 elections and prophecies that didn't

Rev. Mbaka

Following the events that preceded the 2015 presidential and governorship elections especially with respect to prophecies by respected men of God in the country, Femi Aesina, a columnist with the Sun Newspaper writes on the prophecies tha came to pass and those that did not. The Title of the write-up is "2015 Polls: Prophecies That Hit The Crossbar". Enjoy.
"Can Rev Father Ejike Mbaka of the Adoration Ministry, Enugu, rise and take a bow?  When many other prophets went the way of Balaam, making predictions for filthy lucre and falling over themselves to foretell a second term in office for President Goodluck Jonathan, Father Mbaka trod an unbeaten and unpopular path.  At the risk of his life, he said Gen Muhammadu Buhari of the All Progressives Congress (APC) would win the 2015 presidential election.

SaharaReporters accuse President Jonathan of trying hard to postpone and rig 2015 election

Online news site, Sahara reporters is raising heavy allegations against the incumbent president of Nigeria, Goodluck Jonathan. In this report, the site that has gained popularity by contending against the presidency raise some serious allegations against the president including that the president is putting heavy pressure on the INEC chairman, Attahiru Jega to postpone the election by 6 weeks and is planning to sack Jega soon and that Jonathan has bribed smaller parties to canvass for the shift in date in order to allow him rig the election. Read the report below:

Attahiru Jega, chairman of the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC), is close to bowing to fierce pressure by announcing a six-week postponement of the February general elections. However, even though Mr. Jega is all but certain to do the bidding of President Goodluck Jonathan by setting a latter date for the elections, our sources in the Presidency insist that Mr. Jega will not survive as INEC chair much longer if plans by the Presidency to sack him materialize.

SaharaReporters has consistently reported that President Jonathan and his closest associates have been desperate to postpone the elections to enable them to re-strategize in the face of certain signs that Mr. Jonathan and his party were on the cusp of losing by a wide margin.

Once Mr. Jega makes it official that the elections will be postponed, Mr. Jonathan and members of his close-knit kitchen cabinet plan to intensify their plot to plant an interim government after successfully removing Mr. Jega as INEC chairman. Mr. Jega’s tenure is scheduled to end in June 2015.

Our sources reveal that the president and his team are exploring several options to ease Mr. Jega out of his INEC job. One option, according to a source embedded in the Presidency, is to ask the INEC chair to go on “termination leave” as early as the end of March, 2015. A second and more potent strategy is to launch a series of subterranean threats to his life and a series blackmail strategies, including the use of sections of the Nigerian media to accuse Mr. Jega of corruption in the award of INEC contracts.

SaharaReporters learnt that the heads of Nigeria’s security agencies, under direct instructions from the Presidency, categorically told Mr. Jega yesterday that they could not guarantee establishing a climate for free and fair elections to hold in February. They also reportedly warned Mr. Jega that they could not guarantee his personal safety and those of other INEC staff should elections go ahead on February 14th as currently scheduled.

The alarming pressure on Mr. Jega forced him to call a meeting of political parties, non-governmental organizations and resident electoral commissioners in Abuja today. Although the meetings are yet to end, Mr. Jega has confided in several people that he was open to considering a six-week postponement.

One of our sources said President Jonathan’s aides had bribed several briefcase political parties to go to INEC to demand a postponement of the elections.

The real agenda of President Jonathan’s inner circle is two-fold, according to information obtained from sources in the Presidency. The first is a desperate desire to get tenure extension at all cost through the backdoor. The second is to buy enough time to prepare the army to help rig the elections in favor of Mr. Jonathan should the incumbent president and the PDP continue to face bleak prospects in the polls.

Two sources at the Presidency disclosed that Petroleum Minister Diezani Alison-Madueke was particularly rattled at the prospect of Mr. Jonathan’s defeat. Ms. Alison-Madueke, who has engineered several shady deals in the oil sector that enabled her, Mr. Jonathan and a few cronies to pocket billions of dollars, is described of deeply scared of exposure and possible jail time should Mr. Jonathan lose the elections. The sources said the Petroleum Minister had persuaded Mr. Jonathan to sign off on her series of corrupt deals in the oil sector by arguing that the billions of dollars she was stealing would be used to guarantee re-election for the president. The minister used several fronts, including Jide Omokri, Kola Aluko, and Toye Cole in a series of questionable deals. One of her fronts, Mr. Aluko, who was also the minister’s lover, reportedly ran away with more than $2 billion dollars after a jealous Ms. Alison-Maduekebegan to hound him for dating former supermodel Naomi Campbell.

A source close to the Presidency also disclosed that Mr. Jonathan had struck a multibillion-dollar deal with Chadian President Idris Deby to outsource the fight against Boko Harm to Chad. With Chad now fighting Boko Haram on Nigerian territory, President Jonathan and his backers within the military would have enough troops to deploy to help rig the elections, said the source.

The president has already deployed soldiers massively into Lagos today to forestall any peaceful protests against the postponement of elections.
