Work resumes on Chukwuma Nwoha road after letter to the Governor by

I'm very happy to write that construction works have resumed on the Chukwuma Nwoha road that I wrote about about a week ago (CLICK HERE TOREAD THE PETITION). The Chukwuma Nwoha road dualization project was kicked off by Governor Rochas Okorocha in 2014 and was pursued speedily but just before the 2015 elections, the work which was already about 60% completed was suddenly abandoned and the machines and labourers left. There was no drainage system put in place. The rains set in and this caused deep gully erosion by the sides of the road (Bishop's court, Okwuratta and Aladinma axis).
This has made the roads leading into the mostly students-resided to become unmotorable. The erosion totally cut off the students area from the main road because of the deep and wide erosion.
I took detailed photos and assessment of the situation and posted about it. I also approached the deputy Governor (Prince Eze Madumere) as well as campaigned on the social media for the attention of the state government. They may have been others who also pushed for this anyway. I am happy to announce that construction of waterway (drainage) have commenced on the Chukwuma Nwoha road. As at yesterday, 16th June, 2015, work was on on the road even add the rain fell. See pictures below. If you have a pressing issue and you want to get the government to intervene, send the information in form of a letter to

We hope the work will continue till completion.
