7 Tips on How To Succeed in Music Career For an Upcoming Musician

7 Tips on Music Career Success For an Upcoming Musician

So you want to be the next BIG thing in the Nigerian (or elsewhere) music industry. That is a great aspiration shared by many others.
And hey, it is possible. 2face, Timaya, Flavour, Asa etc, they all started out somewhere, sometime. Be warned though that succeeding in music in such a competitive country as ours which has many great upcoming stars is as serious business as becoming a successful Doctor, Engineer etc.

I have a friend who have told me severally that he used to pay Flavour Nabania N1,000 to N1,500 to perform at his spot in Anambara just few years back. Today Flavour charges up to 2 million for shows. You too can make it!
The journey is not a smooth and simple one and many have given up already. However with some tips here given, I hope the journey will be easier to navigate

Imo residents pose in flood waters following hours of rainfall

Imo flood
Properties worth millions were damaged by flood waters that affected parts of Imo state following a rainfall that lasted over 12 hours.
Pictures show cars and houses filled with water as residents of affected areas waded around in desperation. Some residents dared the waters and posed for photo while half-swallowed by the water that grew up to five feet in some affected areas.
Areas like the popular World Bank and Housing Estate were affected.
Flood has remained a yearly problem in the state and other Nigerian states. All the demolition works and drainages said to be constructed by Imo State government that is led by Governor Rochas Okorocha (who turned 55 and celebrated his birthday same day of the flood, September 21) seem not to have averted the flood this year too. #PrayForImo

The Project 55: 5: 55 Code Of Africanist Humanism: The Future Of Africa's Survival

Prehistoric the days of pre-colonial era which erupted and traversed towards all the length of breadth of the African continent; Africa lost her very core values of survival.

For instance, we were condemned to abandoning our our very African ways and response to the art of living. Africa lost her religion to that of the white man. We lost our tribal religion to the mission churches of the colonial masters.

As a result of many years of subjection to colonial pressures; we succumbed and accepted the white man's way of life.

ALATIA: "CAPTIVES” AWAITING THEIR COLUMBUS

Unlike the biblical Jews, but worse, the people of Alatia Autonomous Community in Ngor Okpala LGA are in captive in their own land, held captive by the modern day Babylon – bad leadership; or how else can we describe a community lacking electricity, water supply, roads, health care, security and other things that should be accessible to a “free born”; even prisoners have access to some of these amenities.
